The Methods of Pulse Differentiation and Assessment or Biàn Mài Píng Mài Fǎ (辨脉平脉法), translated here by Tzu-Ying Chiang and edited by Stephen Bonzak, is a Western Han Dynasty pulse examination text used by one of the most famous practitioners in East Asian Medical history, Zhāng Zhòngjǐng (张仲景), as a preface to his work on herbal medicine known as the Treatise on Cold Damage and Miscellaneous and Complex Diseases or the Shānghán Zábìng Lùn (伤寒杂病论).
